The 14th edition of the International Tour Film Festival was presented in the Tropicana 2 Hall of the Italian Pavilion at the Hotel Excelsior in Venice Lido. The event will take place in Civitavecchia from October 1 to 5, 2025, and will be hosted by the renowned actress, author, and television presenter Emanuela Tittocchia, who will serve as presenter and not as a patroness—respecting the directive of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival.
The presentation featured participation from Laura Delli Colli, President of the National Union of Italian Film Journalists (SNGCI); Marcello Zeppi, President of the Montecatini International Short Film Festival; Simone Gialdini, General Director of Anec and President of Cinetel; Maddalena Mayneri, Founder and President of the Cortinametraggio Festival; directors Angelo Antonucci and Alessandro Fiorucci; and journalist Elvira Federico.
During the presentation, the prestigious ITFF Venice Awards 2025 were presented this year to:
Yvonne Sciò for directing WOMENESS, the third documentary film written and directed by the actress and director herself, continuing her feminine journey by telling the stories of five other remarkable women of our time through their voices
Arturo Paglia, actor and film producer, for his tireless work and his always contemporary and avant-garde vision for Paco Cinematografica.
Many new features mark this 14th edition of the widespread Festival, centered on the city of Civitavecchia, presented by President Piero Pacchiarotti and Artistic Director Antonio Flamini. The festival received 423 entries, of which only 102 were accepted for competition from all over the world.
The opening night of this 2025 edition, on October 1 at 8:30 pm at the Royal Multiplex Cinema, is entrusted to the Italian film “Unicorni” by director Michela Andreozzi, who, along with the cast, will be present.
Two new categories have been added this year to keep the Festival contemporary and up-to-date: Vertical Movie and Artificial Intelligence.
The Artificial Intelligence section received a very positive reception and collected works from numerous countries, including Italy, Argentina, South Korea, Canada, the USA, Kazakhstan, China, and Germany.
The 2nd edition of the MAFALDA MOLINARI AWARD, a cinematic recognition dedicated to women who have particularly distinguished themselves in the world of cinema, will be awarded this year to actress Ida Di Benedetto, star of the film “Gli Altri,” which will be screened on the evening of October 4 at Spazio Granari Off.
The 6th edition of ARTICLE 9 OF THE ITALIAN CONSTITUTION (with specific reference to the landscape). The competition, curated by Ezio Sina, is organized in collaboration with Apidge and Italia Nostra.
The 6th edition of UN MARE DI LIBRI, an all-female literary contest curated by Marina Marucci.
The 4th edition of the ITALIAN EXCELLENCE AWARD, organized by coach Luca Papa, celebrating Italian excellences, which will be presented on the closing night.
Also, the 3rd edition of FANITUDINE, a competition started in 2018. This year, the film “Balboa,” directed by Mirko Alivernini (a fan film tribute to the first Rocky movie), will be presented on Thursday, October 2 at 6:00 pm at the Buonarroti Cinema Theater.
Other event nights will include October 2 at 9:00 pm at the Buonarroti Cinema Theater with the screening of “Noi Cannibali,” directed by Antonio Leonviola, a film entirely shot in Civitavecchia in 1953, starring the extraordinary Silvana Pampanini, whom we will celebrate on the 100th anniversary of her birth (September 25, 1925).
On October 3, the screening of the film “SILENT REBELLION,” directly from the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, will be presented as a prestigious premiere through an agreement with Trent Film, which will distribute it in Italy, still at the Buonarroti Cinema Theater.
During the presentation, film critic Armando Lo Staglio introduced the trailer for the music video “Mirror of Memories” by Emiliano Aimondi, directed by Emanuela Del Zompo, addressing the delicate theme of Alzheimer’s disease, which will participate in specialized festivals dedicated to music videos.
The final event will take place in Civitavecchia from Wednesday, October 1 to Sunday, October 5, 2025, across multiple venues to root and engage the entire city territory.
Screenings and various events will be held at the Royal Multiplex Cinema, the Buonarroti Cinema Theater, the Verdi Theater, Spazio Granari Off, the Music Citadel, and the Hotel De La Ville.
The International Tour Film Festival (ITFF) is the only international event held in the city of Civitavecchia, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture (MIC), Lazio Region, Lazio Land of Cinema, Municipality of Civitavecchia, and the Ca.Ri.Civ. Foundation, with two major sponsors: Enel and Molinari
