Success for the Presentation of the International Tour Film Festival 2025 at the Italian Pavilion in Cannes

A packed room, strong participation, and an international atmosphere marked the presentation of the 14th edition of the International Tour Film Festival (ITFF), held on Monday, May 19 at 10 a.m. in the Salon Marta of the Hotel Majestic, as part of the official program of the Italian Pavilion in Cannes.

The event, organized by CivitaFilm, previewed the content and new features of the upcoming festival, scheduled to take place in Civitavecchia from October 1 to 5, 2025.

Among those present were, in addition to Festival President Piero Pacchiarotti and Artistic Director Antonio Flamini, numerous representatives of Italian and international film institutions, directors, producers, industry journalists, and international guests, including: producer Angelo Bassi, director Christian Marazziti, Vice President of the Italian National Union of Film Journalists Franco Mariotti, Sylvie Nwet (President of the Yara International Festival in Yaoundé), Donatella Pascucci (Ministry of Culture, Cinema Directorate), Simone Gialdini (director of ANEC), Giulio Mezzanotte (ANICA), Marcello Foti (Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia), directors Max Nardari and Mauro John Capece, Maria De Sousa (founder of W AllWoman Magazine), and many other industry professionals.

During the presentation, the prestigious ITFF Cannes Awards were presented-special recognitions aimed at honoring individuals and works that stood out in the past year for innovation and promotion of film culture. This year's awardees were:

  •   Iris Peynado, Actress, Producer, Member of the European Film Academy (Italy + Dominican Republic)

  •   Steve Della Casa, Curator of the Cineteca Nazionale and film critic

All the festival's historic sections were presented, including the second edition of the Mafalda Molinari Award and new competitions for the 14th edition, such as those dedicated to works created with artificial intelligence, Vertical Movies, and the cosplay world with the Fanitudine contest.

The international jury presidents for all sections were also announced, composed of leading figures from the film, television, and communications sectors.

Festival President Piero Pacchiarotti stated:

"The ITFF confirms itself as a point of reference for international cinema, capable of engaging with new technologies and promoting young talent. The now well-established presentation in Cannes represents important recognition for the work done over the years."

Artistic Director Antonio Flamini added:

"We are proud to bring the excellence of our festival to Cannes and to strengthen collaborations with international organizations, opening new perspectives for the cinema of the future."

The event concluded with best wishes and an invitation to attend the 14th edition of the International Tour Film Festival in
