PRESS RELEASE Official program of the International Tour Film Festival 2024 unveiled Various venues from October 2 to 6, 2024 – Civitavecchia (Rome)
This morning, the 13th edition of the International Tour Film Festival was presented at the headquarters of the Ca.Ri.Civ Foundation in Civitavecchia. The festival will take place in Civitavecchia from October 2 to 6, 2024, across six different locations.
Hosting the event and presenting the packed and diverse program—which, as in previous editions, includes international works in competition across short films, medium-length films, and feature films, divided into five categories: Animation, Fiction, Feature Films, Tourism, and Documentaries—were President **Piero Pacchiarotti** and Artistic Director **Antonio Flamini**. Joining them were the City’s Councillor for Culture and Education **Stefania Tinti**, **Mario Molinari**, representing Molinari, the Festival’s sponsor, **Gabriella Sarracco**, President of the Ca.Ri.Civ Foundation, **Stefano Natale**, Vice President of the Leo Amici Foundation, and **Marina Marucci**, Head of the literary and events section of ITFF 2024.
This edition's special guest is internationally renowned actress **Antonella Salvucci**, who will attend the festival’s opening and closing nights.
The festival will be spread across various city venues, including **Cinema Royal**, **Cineteatro Buonarroti**, **Teatro Verdi**, **Teatro Comunale Traiano**, **Hotel de La Ville**, and the **Centumcellae Archaeological Association**.
This year’s event boasts a wide-ranging daily program, including not only screenings of competing and out-of-competition films but also workshops, meetings for students and youth, exhibitions, book presentations, readings, theatrical performances, and talks.
On October 2, the festival will open with the national premiere of the film *Tutto in... 72 ore*, directed by **Luciano Luminelli**, who will be present at **Cinema Royal** alongside part of the cast: **Kaspar Capparoni**, **Corinne Clery**, **Sebastiano Somma**, **Debora Caprioglio**, **Blas Roca Rey**, **Jonis Bascir**, and **Noemi Guidi** (co-screenwriter).
During the evening, **Prince Guglielmo Giovanelli Marconi** will also be honored to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of **Guglielmo Marconi**.
On October 3 at **Cineteatro Buonarroti**, there will be a special out-of-competition screening of the film *XX Secoli di Secondi perché l’amore è l’arma più potente*, directed by **Clelia Parisi**, featuring the extraordinary participation of **Liliana Cosi** and the voice of **Leo Amici** performed by **Luca Ward**.
The closing ceremony of the festival will take place on **October 6 at 8:00 PM** at the **Teatro Comunale Traiano**, with the awarding of the winners of the various festival categories. Present will be guest of honor **Antonella Salvucci**, along with other special guests and officials. Among the awards to be presented are: the **ITFF Special Award** to Antonella Salvucci; the **Mafalda Molinari Award** to **Valeria Fabrizi**; the **ITFF Excellence Award** to **Vincent Riotta**; the **ITFF Italian Cult Movie Award** to **Andrea Roncato**; and special awards to **Andrea De Rosa**, **Mimmo Calopresti**, **Elena Russo**, **Vincenzo Bocciarelli**, **Graziano Scarabicchi**. The **ITFF Spotlife Award** will go to **Pietro Romano** and **Luca Martella**, while the **ITFF Italian Excellence Award**, presented by Italian Excellence coach **Luca Papa**, will honor **Riccardo Galdenzi**, **Giuliano Logos**, and **Giacomo Spaconi**.
The International Tour Film Festival is not just about cinema—it is much more.
On **October 2 at 5:30 PM**, the festival will open at the **Teatro Comunale Traiano** with the photography exhibition *Mastroianni in Civitavecchia: the film "Che ora è"*, dedicated to the iconic Italian actor in celebration of the centenary of his birth. The exhibition showcases photos taken during the filming of **Ettore Scola's** 1989 movie by **Mario Tursi**, an internationally renowned photographer. The film, entirely shot and set in Civitavecchia, starred **Marcello Mastroianni** and **Massimo Troisi**.
On **October 3 at 11:00 AM** at the **Hotel De La Ville Meeting Room**, there will be a presentation of the project “Premio Strega Ragazze e Ragazzi 2025” for local schools, attended by representatives from the **Bellonci Foundation** and city officials. That afternoon at 5:30 PM, there will be a conference on the **"Francois Tomb"** and a reading that narrates the story of Etruscan women.
On **October 4**, at **Cineteatro Buonarroti**, there will be an “Homage to Marcello Mastroianni,” an event for high school students organized in collaboration with **Trailer Film Fest**, featuring a screening and discussion with Artistic Director **Stefania Bianchi**.
On **October 5 at 5:30 PM** at **Hotel de la Ville**, there will be a reading of **Annie Ernaux’s** book *L’evento*, followed at 6:30 PM by a theatrical performance featuring **Patrizia Bellucci** and **Ines Le Breton**, directed by **Fabio Lombardi** with a text by **Valeria Moretti** on **Virginia Woolf** and **Vita Sackville-West**.
