International Tour Film Fest 2025 Kicks Off in Poggio Mirteto with “Sentinelle del Territorio” – A Day to Celebrate and Protect the Landscape

The International Tour Film Fest will begin its 2025 tour on Friday, March 14, at the Sala della Cultura “Elpidio Benedetti” in Poggio Mirteto (RI). For the occasion, the venue will transform into the beating heart of landscape and environmental protection, hosting the event Sentinelle del Territorio: Conscious and Active Citizens for Landscape and Environment; Organized by I.I.S. "Gregorio da Catino, the event will bring together institutions, associations, and students with a shared mission: to raise awareness and promote the preservation of Italy’s historical, artistic, natural, and cultural heritage.

The event aligns with the Giornata del Paesaggio 2025 (Landscape Day 2025) and features a rich program of activities and discussions.

Event Program

- 11:00 AM – Institutional Welcome followed by a special screening of the award-winning films from previous editions of the International Tour Film Festival of Civitavecchia (ITFF).   

- Presentation of the new student competition on Article 9 of the Italian Constitution, dedicated to schools and students. (More info at: www.internationaltourfilmfest.com/bandoApidge

- 12:00 PM – Spotlight on innovative educational projects focused on environmental and landscape conservation, including:

  - Diritto alla Bellezza (Right to Beauty)

  - Vivere attivamente l’ambiente fluviale della Sabina (Actively Experiencing the Sabina River Environment)

  - Studio e osservazione degli aspetti geologico, botanico e zoologico dell’ambiente montano del Comune di Poggio Mirteto (Study and Observation of Geological, Botanical, and Zoological Aspects of the Mountain Environment of Poggio Mirteto)

- Presentation of Sulle Rotte del Fuoco, a project for students of the Nautical and Hospitality Institutes of Termoli, coordinated by the Mangia Fuoco association.

- 1:00 PM – The event concludes with an educational robotics demonstration in the outdoor spaces of Sala Elpidio Benedetti, showcasing how technology can support sustainability and environmental education.
