"CALL FOR ENTRIES: "TERRAE FILM FEST" COMPETITION 2024"

"The Friends of the Ranalli Fund ODV Association, in collaboration with the International Tour Film Festival and with the contribution of the CARICIV Foundation of Civitavecchia, promote the "TERRAE FILM FEST" Competition, aimed at giving voice to communities and speaking for the territories through the city of Civitavecchia and the Tuscia area.

The competition aims to become a traveling event, creating a space for sharing and socializing using the medium of cinema; to serve as a catalyst for intercultural dialogue, social inclusion, and community development.

The goal is to raise awareness of the territory by reclaiming archaeological spaces and historic sites in the city of Civitavecchia and our territory in general, and to create social aggregation through the screening of films, conferences, and workshops.

Partecipation implies adherence to the Regulations, which establish admission requirements, participation methods in the Competition, jury composition, prizes and communications to the winners, copyright, and other necessary terms to compete.

Participants must submit a presentation video of the space(s) and site(s) they believe are currently forgotten and should instead be rediscovered and enhanced, explaining their history, motivations from their point of view, and, if deemed appropriate, interviewing individuals who can add value to their work.

The jury will proclaim three winners. The first will receive the 1st place trophy, the second and third will receive a plaque.

REGULATION:

ART. 1

The Competition is open to authors born or residing in the Lazio Region. Participation is free, open to all, with no age limits.

ART. 2

The theme is related to the objective of giving voice to the territories, as explained in the preamble.

ART. 3

Participants must submit a video in Italian language (or subtitled) produced by them. The duration of the video must not exceed 12 minutes. The works must be uploaded in MP4 format files (video resolution 1920x1080 codec: H264, FPS: 25, Maximum file size: 2 GB).

ART. 4

The video must be submitted together with the participation form by the deadline of July 15, 2024. Submission must be made via email to the address: iscrizioni@terraefilmfest.xyz with the subject line. "Registration for TERRAE FILM FEST 2024 Competition". The material will not be returned.

ART. 5

The evaluation of the texts and the related admission to the final phase will be entrusted to a Jury composed of experts competent in the matter.

ART. 6

The winners will be awarded on the final evening of the event, which will be held on September 15, 2024, at 8:00 PM, presumably at the "Il Saraceno" Multipurpose Center located inside the Port of Civitavecchia (RM) Roman Dock.

ART. 7

The jury, at its sole discretion, will decide the awarding of prizes. Non-participation in the final evening forfeits the right to the prize. Only after the screening of the three finalist short films in the Competition, on the final day of September 15, 2024, will the winners' ranking be announced. The jury may, at its sole discretion, award a special mention.
