Submissions officially closed on April 30th for the 14th edition of the International Tour Film Festival, a well-established event on the international film scene, which will take place from October 1st to 5th in Civitavecchia (Rome, Italy). This year’s edition promises to be particularly rich, with 423 films submitted from 34 countries.

Among the nations represented, in addition to Italy, are countries from every continent: from Argentina to Brazil, China to India, Canada to the United States, as well as Iran, Iraq, Syria, Japan, Taiwan, Turkey, Lebanon, Colombia and South Korea. Europe shows strong participation with entries from France, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Portugal, Serbia, Croatia, Switzerland, United Kingdom, North Macedonia, and Russia, to name just a few. Notably, entries also came from countries less commonly present in international film circuits, such as Nepal, Kazakhstan, and Cuba.

“The high number of entries,” says festival director Piero Pacchiarotti”, confirms the growing interest in a festival capable of attracting cinematic voices diverse in culture, language, and vision. It’s a significant achievement for an event born with the aim of promoting the area north of Rome through cultural dialogue via cinema, offering a global perspective on universal themes while staying current with the times.”

In the coming months, the artistic direction led by Antonio Flamini, together with the juries of the various sections – including new categories focused on Artificial Intelligence and the Vertical Movie section dedicated to young filmmakers – will select the finalists to be screened for the public from October 1st to 5th, under the technical direction of Andrea Donato.

The International Tour Film Festival thus confirms itself as a vital observatory of emerging trends in independent world cinema, as well as a valuable platform for cultural and territorial promotion.
