CINETOUR MAKES HISTORY: A WORLD FIRST IN ROME!

For the first time in the world, film festivals came together at the World Film Festivals Congress, bringing nearly 100 participants from 25 countries to the historic city of Rome. With Film Tourism at the heart of its mission, CINETOUR marked an important milestone in promoting cultural dialogue, international cooperation, and the tourism potential of destinations around the world. Different cultures, different festivals, and different cities united in Rome with a shared vision: to build bridges between cinema, culture, and tourism.

The Congress began at the historic Campidoglio and continued at RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts and across Rome's remarkable cultural landmarks. Beyond cinema, this gathering highlighted the power of film festivals to promote destinations, celebrate cultural heritage, encourage sustainable tourism, and connect communities across borders. Rome was our first step. Madrid will be our next destination! Together, we are building a global network where cinema connects cultures and tourism brings people closer. See you at our next international gathering!
